Arkansas Personal Injury Lawyer Fees

When we talk, I will also tell you about my fees. But basically, I get paid an attorney fee only if I recover money for you.

As a matter of fact, my Retainer Agreement states this very clearly:

“If there is no recovery, there is no fee due to attorney.”

Moreover, I will pay for the expenses of investigating and developing your case and I will be paid back those expenses only if there is a recovery. My contract with you specifically says this about expenses:

“If there is no recovery, the client shall not be responsible for any costs or expense.”

I can’t be any more fair than that.

Payment out of your recovery for my attorney fee and for reimbursement of the costs and expenses that I incur for your claim and injuries is called a “contingent” fee contract.

Another way you could pay me to represent you for an injury claim would be on an hourly fee basis. However, I have never represented anybody in an injury case on an hourly fee basis because very few people can afford to pay an hourly fee of $250 an hour as the work is done.

My contingent fee will be a percentage of the recovery. The exact percentage depends on whether the case is settled, suit is filed, the case is arbitrated, the case is mediated or if there is an appeal or second trial after the first trial.

The percentage that I am paid increases as the amount of work by me to represent you increases.

The percentage that I charge is standard and will be fully disclosed when you hire me.

In any case, the initial consultation with me is free, so there is no risk on your part-and you will learn just what your rights and options are.

As it is with the world, so it is with attorneys. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
